Inspiring Words

A meme came up on social media today posted by a friend, with a comment “still working on 2 and 5”. what made me think about this meme in particular was that my lovely friend was staying home this weekend to exactly what she needed to work on not doing.  With a big business transition under way and probably a few other emotional processes at play her weekend was going to be spent over thinking her choices and listening to her fears.  This just brought to light the flood of inspirational memes that get posted on social media many of which I look at and think “That’s just not you” Which lead me to the question,  Why do you post all these memes if you don’t follow what they say? I’m not criticizing everyone who posts inspirational memes, i like seeing them and a lot of people post these memes because it’s what they believe. It’s the ones who just post stuff because it sounds good and they’re usually the ones who go nuts and flood your feed with them. So my question for you is this – What do you get from posting these memes?
Does it make you feel good preaching a positive message? Do you do it in the hope you might brighten someone’s day? Do you do it in the hope that people will like you?
