I’ve had to put travels on hold and head back to Melbourne. Without going into too much detail, some of the reasons for this are personal and some financial. The way I left things before I took off to ride up to Cape York was going to create more and more issues when I get back, the longer I left it.
So I made it down to the south point!
Not without dramas though. It’s a 40Km walk up and back from the campground which essentially is an overnight walk. That’s all good but I’m not geared up for an overnight walk. Parks Vic were adamant that even though there was a vehicle trail most of the way down there, bikes were not permitted. Continue reading “Down to South Piont”
The Latest Ride Updates
The lead up to this ride has been nothing short of crazy! There was little time to train, or prepare, I’m still riding around with Bar tape which I plan to wrap the handle bars in when I eventually have a rest day. Then with age came freedom, the opportunity to venture further, to go to new places and see new things. To explore, to see new things!! Continue reading “The Things You See…”
The time for change has come! It’s the beginning of a new adventure. There seems to be no time to enjoy life anymore. There’s always something that has to be done, a troublesome list of things to do that keeps on growing. This isn’t living life to the fullest, this just feels like a struggle to keep from drowning. Money is the same, the decent pay packet that comes every fortnight just seems to evaporate by the time the next comes along. So, it’s time for change, it’s time to throw all my shit in the air and see what comes down and where it all lands. Continue reading “The Beginning of a New Adventure…”
The first time I came across this jump on the Hero trail up at Mystic Mountain, it filled me with fear. Without a second thought I had decided it was to big for me. fear had taken over. Every time I came down the trail that weekend I’d go around it. Fear was holding me back!
